Hi! I'm a 2D animator and illustrator who loves bringing bright, quirky, and fun ideas to life. I have experience capturing imagination in kids' animated content and crafting distinct, expressive character designs. I work closely with clients and employers to bring vision into motion, ensuring every frame is as dynamic and high-quality as the story it’s telling. Let’s create something amazing together!
Beyond Belief is an animated kid's comedy series I developed for my Bachelor major work, which involved the production of a pitch bible, scripts, character creation, storyboarding, and a one-minute animated teaser trailer. The show is about cryptids adjusting to a world where they are no longer believed. It follows Poppy, a little Gnome Girl who's never taken seriously, her adopted father Yazza—a Yowie on the doll, and Dusty, an immigrant Moth Man with social issues, all of whom live in a rundown caravan park in rural NSW.
Through the guise of comedy the show aims to explore themes surrounding identity, low income families and the struggles of living as an underprivileged youth in Australia. The project has given me valuable insight into working within the television/film industry, specifically revolving around children’s content, and I hope to develop it further in the future.
I had the privilege of working with an amazing team of SAE animators to create animations for the 2024 Caper Festival in Byron Bay. The three-minute-long animation takes audiences on a journey through Byron Bay's food and culture over the years, from Indigenous bush tucker to modern fine dining and farmers markets.
With a strong focus on colour and texture, we aimed to create a unique and cohesive piece that premiered on the final night of the festival. It was so much fun, and I’m so happy to have been a part of it!
S.C.E.S. is a developing indie video game I contributed to in collaboration with the Games unit. Working from the designs provided by the lead character designer, I created a wide range of animated sprites, along with additional visual assets such as in-game advertisements and commercials to help enrich the world-building and overall atmosphere of the game.
This collaboration gave me valuable insight into the unique pipeline of game development, particularly the creative and technical considerations involved in bringing animation into an interactive medium.
I had the pleasure of working with the Bang! Academy of Performing Arts on their production of Fantastic Mr Fox. Aimed at a younger audience I was tasked with designing and illustrating a collection of story-driven and child-like animated projections, that were used as the backdrops for the live show. This was so much fun and a real joy bringing this iconic story to life!
